  • In Wayne's deffence....PLEASE DO NOT MERGE!!!

I fail to see where this loyalty BS comes from?

He was at Palace as a youth from 16 and stayed for 4 years before Spurs (a massive club) came in for him to give him his big break. A broken foot slowed that down and he never established himself. Loans to Pompey and Fulham attracted interest from Villa who gave him another chance after showing good promise on his loan spell. Unfortunately, he had to compete with the likes of Milner and Young so was then loaned out to Cardiff. We then came in for him and he started to settle before we messed him and the rest of the squad around with a ridiculous amount of managerial changes. Two teams express an interest, and we get excited at the prospect of a quick £2m so basically let Wayne know he's no longer wanted.

The career of a dis-loyal man, or someone who just wants to do well and play football? Not being content with rotting on the bence at both Spurs and Villa would suggest the latter to me. A willingness to drop down a league to resurect his career says the same.

Make of it what you will, but I wish Wayne the best of luck.
