he was not our best player. if he didnt care about rangers why are we so bothered about keeping him. Id rather have players who want to play for the club than players who are here to collect there 20k a week wage !

How could we possibly keep him!!!

There was probably a � 2 mill trigger clause in his contract , he will earn more money , he will be virtually guaranteed Prem football next year and he'll be playing in front off 50,000 fans whio support their team through thick and thin and don't #### their players off when they have a bad game!!

I never considered him our best player, and as Maddix said who would not turn down a move to Newcastle at the moment, they have to be mad, club & player.

Marsh was sold in the spring of 71, I cried my eyes out, then Stan Bowles turned up a year later
