What would make you happy? Gloryhunters or not?

When the takeover happened there, many were quick on the "we were here when we were ****e" bandwagon, and there was lots of talk about johnny come lately glory hunters who wouldn't be particularly welcomed, and that smugly you would never recognise them as core supporters.

A year or so later, and with the benefit of hindsight, funnily enough, we are still ****e, and crowds have gone down, not up, and there is no sign of any new support let alone glory hunters.

I recognise the current plight is laughable but which would you really prefer?
The tone of this board lately suggests having to accept gloryhunters would be the more desirable of the two..

As it would anywhere... it happens at Chelsea and Fulham, and it happened at Reading too.


It's un-avoidable, and I could live with it.

I'd be happy as they'd be bringing in more income. More income means better players on bigger wages.

We all know who was there before it happened, so I wouldn't let it bother me.

As Goddard said, it's un-avoidable and happens everywhere.

The word Gloryhunters describes people jumping on the bandwagon of something or someone that has achieived something, the reason we do not have any is that we have not yet achieved.
If you build it they will come, but only if you win something in the case of football.

Ditto. I think I could just about stomach a bunch of plummy voiced ******s, just so it meant that the Rangers were a force to be reckoned with.

I am a glory hunter.

I had the choice of QPR, Chelsea or Arsenal (my Dads team) when I was a little kid in 73/74.

Of those - Rangers were easily the best side at the time, and I loved Stan Bowles, and the kit.
I went for glory.

Difficult to define "glory hunter". I don't think we would get completely new fans, most would be the sort of people who go sometimes, but would start going more often, or lapsed fans coming back.
How many of the 30,000 who went to Cardiff were glory-hunters?
