I've been on this site for 2 years now and not once have I received an answer, from any of the pro-GP brigade, to my very simple question.

I wonder why?

So I will ask it yet again:

How does an ex-agent QUALIFY to be a Director Of Football?

It really is a very simple question.

Just to be clear, I have not, and never had, anything against GP as a person.

So, in your opinion, exactly what is that "title's" job description, in the case of GP?

My interpretation of Director of Football role is to thrash out transfer deals on behalf of the gaffer,oversee youth development (as in hire the right people),tie players to contracts as per gaffers instructions (and also loan out/sell players) no longer wanted by manager.

Sadly here the DoF does what he wants and the gaffer carries the can.
