    Paladini debate

I know times are really tough at the moment and naturally we all look for a scapegoat and it seems like Paladini is that man. For my information can anyone in the know explain exactly what his role entails. If he really is the Director of Football (responsible for football matters and managerial appointments and transfers) then he should be sacked immediately as we have gone from shambles to farce directly of a result of his appointments.

If he is not the Director of Football what exactly is his role and why the hell are we paying him so he should be sacked anyway.

I'd admire Pete's loyalty but he can't answer that question fully. If he says that Paladini is responsible for managerial appointments then he's admitting that Paladini has failed. If he says he doesn't do any of that then he is admitting that there is no need for his role.

Easy scapegoat, has more lives than a cat..

Finger cannot be pointed at the manager, they don't stay long enough.

Fans uncertain about blaming the board, reprecussions of them leaving..

Fans now resolved to paying higher prices.. that aspect had its day early on

      Who does that leave??

The Tiger mascot, the players and Gianni Paladini..

      Thats the simple equation

Sirpie, Flavio appoints the manager.. Its that simple..It will be simplified to 3-4 candidates of course.

In name he is DOF, but really he is chairman of the football club. Okay you can question that, fair enough but the day to day running of all aspects of the football club is done by Gianni Paladini on the footballing side.

Flavio only spends match days at QPR for example

As Pete says he is an easy scapegoat. I personally feel he is a middle man working under extreme circumstances. For his own sanity I'd be happy for him to leave.

What is seriously clear is that the club is f**ked from top to toe...ridiculous prices for fans, broken promises, key staff booted, rubbish replacements, money spent on entertaining mates rather than sorting out the real paying fans, the club needs stripping from the top.

I pray that Flavio has had enough of the abuse and sells up to Bhatia/The Mittals. For it's clear he is making a complete bodge up of owing a football club.

Doesn't history tell anyone, that within 1 month someone else will be a scapegoat???

Its all irrevelant him being here or not, as we the fans will let it die for a while, then Bingo someone else will get it..

All the anti GP brigade, will the be saying to get rid of someone else after a bad run of results

So who is the scapegoat at Tottenham? Now that their DOF has gone?

No - that's not how it works.

You remove a failing employee and replace them with a competent one.

The manager may then well become a scapegoat for poor performances but that would be correct as he would be solely in charge.

                            Answer is

An expereinced manager in Harry Redknapp who knows how to play the market inside out..

get me a similar type manager and have said all along, no problem with Gianni leaving or moving aside.

Sirpie, you are using one illusration of a team doing well, for many it works the other way too

Pete can you honestly tell me why you defend him so faithfully, when all around are telling you and the rest of the minority, that his tenure should be coming to an end.
I do agree with your point regarding thier being another scapegoat just around the corner, reports MB would`nt exist without one.
