    Danny Webber

As a fan of football I could list 25 realistic signings that would undoubtedly improve our team. I'm afraid Danny Webber would not be one of them.

Now Danny Webber is not a bad footballer. At one stage at Watford he looked like he was going to be a top player but since he was injured he has lost his pace which was undoubtedly his biggest asset.

I'm not being negative or being impatient it is just that we don't need Danny Webber. We've got Routledge/Simpson/Ephraim/Balanta all of whom are a similar type of player offering the same attributes.

We need a big, strong, mobile 'old fashioned' centre forward who can hold the ball up and win flick ons. Someone who can play the Emile Heskey role and be a foil for the players previously mentioned. Now Dave Kitson would be a perfect signing and I'm pleased he is being mentioned in the rumour section, but the vibes I seem to get are that we want to loan him rather than buy? Why oh why would we lose out on a player that we desperately need, why are the board not prepared to take any risks?

Kitson is desperate to come back South so the only reason we can't get him must be financial.

No problem as long as he offers the same attributes. I've just got a feeling that we will try and get a poor mans version, someone like Adebola, I think our board must have a list of forwards guaranteed to score less than 15 goals and that is where they start looking.

Advantage of Kitson is he is fantastic (and proven) at this level, has got an English 'never say die' attitude (which we severely lack throughout our team) lets not forget he was sold for 5 million from Reading.

As mentioned on here for months Beckford would be a smashing signing. Tall, fast, skillfull, strong, great finisher, hungry I could go on..... would also show the fans we really mean business.

What makes Kitson believe that any Championship Club are going to pay 30k wage??

agree...need a BIG forward who can get on the end of crosses' hold the ball up and has the pace to get behind the back four..would suit the team we have at the moment. i remember some people on here not rating the fella- those posters will eat their words...for once can our money men put their wallet upfront instead of their public profile

Sort of, but he is immobile, not bothered and missess loads of chances.

                      Past it basically.

I agree with you to be fair, but I'd still try him up front with Simpson until we get a better, younger Helguson style player.
