Best chance we have of getting anyone decent is the Tommy Smith one rumoured. This involved Helguson going to watford as Pompey haven't paid watford in full for smith yet. As both pompey and watford are broke rumour is £500k for smith and not much coming our way for Helguson, then watford write off what pompey owe them etc.....

This is possible imo as spending £500k for smith and recouping say £200k for helguson means we only spend £300k
