Strangest signing since the takeover?

According to soccerbase since the takeover we've made 114 player transactions (either players coming or going) but which one has been the strangest?

For me it has to be the signing of Matteo Alberti. Manager after manager doesn't seem to rate him but we signed him and didn't really announce it and he doesn't seem to be favoured by anyone. At the time we had Ledesma, Ainsworth, Ephraim, Cook, Buzsaky and Vine who could all play on the wing so there was never a need for him either.

Wasn't £400k plus the gate receipts for the match against Chievo???

Strangest signing for me was Faurlin, because it was unexpected and given the massive fee and the fact we pipped Inter Milan to his signature. So far i think it's 3.5 mill well spent, looks like a cracking player..

LOL we didnt "pip" Inter Milan to Faurlin! We paid them compensation because they had first dibs, if they REALLY wanted him they could have got him.

Borrowdale has to be for the way he was treated after arriving. Pellicori next because he is absolutely shocking, whoever signed him was on a bung for sure.
