Why does are vision and expectations only extend to the championship and not beyond when looking at players.Say we make the jump up next season, where would that leave the likes of the Jacksons and Beckfords of this world, players playing reserve football on long contracts and a good wage me thinks.Lets aim for the stars.

I kind of agree, I mean if we were willing to splash the cash then that would be possible but it's not gonna a happen so it's best to be realistic

Couldn't agree more, them two would be tops :greedy:
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Jackson would do well in the CCC........

Living in Kent we get to see all of the Gills action on the box and as previously stated he is a natural finisher, lightening quick, good header of the ball and always seems to be there or there abouts when balls end up in the opposing penno area. I was at Wembley in May for the L2 play off final and he looked very decent and well worth a shout IMHO...... for what it's worth......;D

Slightly off topic, but did you see the state of their pitch yesterday ?

If their game goes ahead today, well done the fans who cleared the pitch.

Would rather Best or Hooper, but I wont be complaining if Jackson signs

As lik vblock - local to me as well and been a couple of times.Jackson could make thegrade but like many before Sharp eastwood, could be a gamble. But a gamble sometimes you have to take.

Personally - i noticed that Killgallon might be on way in jan...always thought he was a decent centre half and better than Stewart and hall.

                          Exactly.

And of the realistic targets he is one of the best options.

And we are not gonna splash the cash to sign anyone from the Prem, even if they would drop down a division.

It doesn't matter who hart wants your better of asking paladini who he wants.....

No point in asking anyone other than GP as no manager is around long enough to make the transfer periods.
