Some desperately wanted us to sign a part time postman called Thompson from NI who has hardly set the football world alight either.

I think its very naieve to think that the manager ALWAYS selects the players.

ps.. do you really believe that NOBODY would of wanted to buy a west london football club?
If you remember Ledesma & De Carmine were found at some tournament that both Dowie & Paladini attended, Dowie liked two players and as a result they managed to bring both here.

To be honest I don't know if we did try for others and if we got knocked back, anyone know?

Flavio got Parejo at QPR but I don't recall one Rangers fan saying 'NO' at the time do you, same with Hall and Helgs when they signed?

          Who signed Buz?

are you sure Dowie wasn't taken to the tournament to be shown two players the club was signing?

If dowie thought that much of di carmine then why did he never play him?

End of the day, even though we've had some duds, no-one can tell me this is not the best team we've had for years. They don't always show it on the pitch but considering we are a poorly supported London club compared to others, we are in such a lucky position, sometimes we forget that

Is this the slightest admission that your "mate" is in a position he should relinquish for the better of our football club??? Is the worm turning??

Not turning, Gianni is only second to Jim Gregory on what he has done for the club. Most of the duds came when we had NO money.

Anyone in his position, would have fans who don't like him, thats life. No-one is going to change their views, so real point in gettting out in long drawn out debates about it.

But even you can clearly see the current managerial set up is not working and to make your pal head waiter and let a proper manager take care of all footballing affairs is the ONLY way to move forward

This team have proved against WBA, Newcastle and Cardiff they are good enough. We don't have consistency, thats the problem

Without a shadow of a doubt.

In regards to the mangerial set-up, I think managers are being given a free reign, the only one who had big difficulty was Dowie. I suspect FB was new to this game and felt he could interfere a little (thats why De carmine, parejo), but now a manager will say what player he wants or the type of player and we will try and get him. Only difference is GP will do the deal, whilst the manager can get on with managing the club.
