Problem is I can believe it. The one thing that you don't do is take away an option of not having to see out a win. If you substitute one of your attacking players you are just giving the opposition the free reign to come and attack you. By taking off Simpson right at the end it meant that WBA were free to attack us as we then couldn't break away.

to be fair simpson and routledge were defending very deep and needed to, simpson was on the byline at one point, and routledge was constantly needed to shut down thomas.
