I hate it when people come out with rash comments then make no attempt to intelligently explain their reasoning...

        Fair point stedders !
I think Southgate is just not up to the job - not enough managerial experience (particularly in this dvision and of taking teams up), and I think he's too nice a bloke and wouldn't be able to control some of our prima donnas
I think there are much better candidates - Coppel, Curbishley etc

Southgate is the exact profile of a manager we will get. Anyone with back bone and ideas on how to do things there own way, need not apply.

I think southgate would be a good option.

I'm not sure Southgate is soft... Just a different style. He is also a player who has played for England at World Cups, so might actually get some respect?

Paul - I understand what you are saying... I wonder who will want to come... I'd quite like Curbs.

Southgate made a huge mess of the job at Boro. Some of his signings were disastrous, the football was boring and he got them relegated. Could easily turn into another Bryan Robson who keeps getting decent jobs because everyone says he is a bright young English manager with great playing pedigree whilst ignoring the tales of woe he leaves in the wake of every sacking.

I would not be a happy fox if he got job.

Curbs or Coppell is exactly what we need at the moment but could not work within the regime at W12. Curbs has it in his contract he alone decides on things related to football and this is something FB would not sanction as he said so in his first ever interview on QPR World.
