How much financial backing was Ferguson given to succeed in this division? He was given plenty in lower divisions but hardly anything to make the step up. Knocking Ferguson for a dozen games in a division with League One players is unfair.
He certainly didn't spend much but that Peterborough squad does have some good talent in it. C.M.S, Aaron McClean, and Lewis are good Champo players and George Boyd is one of the top players in the division IMO.

I think they may all become good Championship players but non of them have the experience. We all know that 3 or 4 good players means nothing if the other 7 or 8 are League One at best.

People will look at Leicester and immediately say that because Ferguson didn't do the same with Boro then he is a failure. How have they done since his sacking? 3 points from 12 so it's not that a new manager is doing any better.

Good point. Maybe he is a competent manager but is just competent good enough? Are there any managers who have been exceptional this season?

Also very true. He was 3 minutes away from the sack 23 years ago.
