Defence isnt weak, its the midfield that needs sorting!

Agree that we lack a defensive midfielder.

However, that does not excuse our defending of set-pieces.

i have been banging on about our midfield for ages,we play far too open without rowly/mahon.who ever is playing wide do not help the situation as they do not put a shift in defensively;you defend as a team and you attack as a team,so every play is responsible when we concede goals all the way to simpson or whoever is up front.

Any defence that seems to have to use one of either Hall or Stewart needs lots of sorting. Absolutely pathetic. Personally, I thought Hall looked half decent in the 1st few games this season, but I honestly do not believe i've EVER, nor ever WILL see a worse defensive display than Hall's from Saturday. We're we playing on ice or something? For their 3rd goal...what the hell was he playing at? He backed off and instead of doing the right thing, he showed him so much room for Lita to step into and got roasted. That was the woarst part, but he had a hand in all but the last goal from what I can see. Useless.

Compare Wheater to Hall. And you're saying we don't have defensive issues?!

Yes we don't have the right balance in midfield, but that is due mostly to injury. HOwever I feel that to loan out Gareth and Hogan is wrong. Both add impetus and one of them was needed on Saturday.

Routeledge not tracking back for 1st goal & Watson and Legs no where to be seen when there centre mid was breaking for the 2nd.

Yeh I know he is prodominantly an attacking player but as an out and out left sided midfielder he will get back and knows where to be and when, something a player not used to playing there does not.
