bans were meant as a weapon against hooligans, not for standing

Can you realistically see or expect a Liverpool city councillor doing anything that could be construed as detrimental to LFC.

So there's the solution - if it really is political like you say, then lets play the game and get a Rangers fan onto one of H&F's board committees. We need a mole; maybe there's one already there ;)

didn't the club a few years ago have to close part of the ground because they didn't fully pass the safety certificate!

if everyone sat down the whole game we'd be better off going fishing ( top stuff by the way!!). it's a game of passion.....bet fifa won't complain during w.cup! The stewards will proper BOTTLE it if we meet the so called "MAD-FANS" that belong to other clubs but will make an example of us...would'nt mind but their all ####ing donuts...certain parts of the ground you have to respect the view of others but we should move next to away ends(SA AND ELL) AND GO MAD!!

3 match bans are issued for 'persistent' standing. I.e. Game after game and ignoring stewards requests.

It depends on the vigilance of the council. H&F are very vigilant and send reps to all 3 clubs every game to monitor.
