Yes they should be played, its tradition, I`ve seen some fantastic games on Boxing day and new years, also some real tosh. Because of work and family commitments i have not seen us play on boxing day at home for years. (we`ve been away from home the last few years) I`m looking forward to it(work permitting that is!!) Last year we didnt have a game on new years day because of the FA cup. We`ve already lost a traditional game at easter. I cannot remember the last home game i went to on boxing day to be honest. Norwich? Brighton?

my dad told that he saw Fulham beat Ipswich 10-0 on christmas day many many years ago. He reckoned the ipswich team were all half cut!!Originally posted by loftboy View PostMy Dad was telling me the other day that he used to watch Kingstonians v Wimbledon on Christmas morning,Probably just after the war.
lets hope they are when we play them eh!! lol

No that wouldnt work either as that would make it a normal working day for most thus making it a midweek game with a evening kick-off more fans are likely to go if its a bank hol thats why most clubs have there biggest gates of the season on boxing day.Originally posted by Fez View PostNo, could simply delay them one day!

no, england should have a three week break and maybe that might help the team win another world cup. I give you 5-1 Rooney is injured this summerOriginally posted by qblockpete View Postyes or no.
I say No, have endured some dreadful New Year and Boxing Day games, whilst missing time with the family
and england will play bent and crouch. what is more shocking is that heskey can win more caps, he could not get into any other top side in the world.

Heskey is better than Bent and crouch put together you have lost your touch living in a sh it country that don't understand the game!I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Christmas day I agree but Boxing day is the perfect day to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Pete by the way voted yes he also mentioned 'it's nice to get away from all that nagging'! Could of ment anyone so don't take it personal. This was on a different post so again he is contradicting himself!Last edited by WeAreQPR12; 25-11-2009, 02:54 PM.I played sunday league football today.

I voted NO.
One week away from football, would do everyone good. At the very least play one game 27 or 28th.
As for New years Day, I've spent some of these days bored to tears and the crowd are half asleep.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.
