Think we have to hope Gorks and Connolly step up to the plate. Also think Legs should be more vocal - he leads by example and must run double the distance of some players out there, but he needs to back that up by being a bit nastier to some of his colleagues. Prob doesn't help that the captaincy has chopped and changed virtually with every game lately.

You don't need a single leader, you need 11 totally committed players all supporting and encouraging each other.

Connolly. Whether or not he has the armband, no matter if he's CB, RB or LB, he commands the back 4.

suprising to say i reckon taarabt's passion for football and wanting the ball could be a possibility i reckon it would make him much more responsible.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                      Lovejoy: "No?!"

Watson or Connolly could do a job as captain
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Connolly great player for us and a leader in terms of the way he plays, but he wouldn't even talk to his best mate too much, so not really captain material.

Watson got to be signed permanently before he is made captain - how can someone be captain who hasn't committed himself yet to the club? Agree he prob should be the captain after Jan, if he signs, but not yet.

Its a tricky one. As Birch and Gallen said in the interview, its a quiet squad. Connolly has a tremendous will to win so he's a good shout. I'd probably give it to Buzz though for his experience.
