He does prefer to play out right as a winger, i for one think its stupid we're even thinking about putting this lad in the first team in a matter of months, have a look at him physically don't think he's anywhere near taking a hit from a championship player yet. Maybe technically good enough but i would wait for his body to strengthen up first keep him playing in the 18s for a while, don't panic just for the sake of keeping him here.

Was speaking to a regular at the youth games and he says his not seen a player like him for a very long time and according to him we haven't got a hope of keeping hold of the kid.

He will be lured by the bright lights and big money of teams like Chelsea etc..

Can't blame him though.Clubs like these are willing to throw mega money at kids, and if i was their age,i would take it as well.Never know what the future holds so take what you can get.

Thats correct Stan, these top Academy teams can offer a hell of a lot more than we could, one of the big 4 will snap him up.Good luck to the boy anyway.

              Sad if true.

Its not the sort of news we want to be hearing from a club on the rise.

I hope we dont bend over with this kid, if he as much talent as his recent hype then surely we should hold off like leeds did with delph and southampton did with bale and walcott? That would bump up his price a little......... Would hope he would stay at the rrrr;s for abit first tho!

I tend to agree with Michaelqpr. I really wish him well, but the bigger clubs in the premiership are so well prepared and those club's academys are great for upcoming kids. We are not in that league at the moment, which is a great shame.

he is a kid....why risk him at pro level...ok if barnet do it but we are a promotion chasing top 6 team, however good and we did not play dean parrett, he is....
one crunching tackle from a man and he could be sidelined and we lose a future "asset"???

we are not desperate....unless it's to drive up any asking price??

That's a fair point - but surely you only have to cite the example of our last starlet who went to Spuds with a big reputation and has just made his debut on loan...................for Brentford!

It's Bostock who spurs nicked from palarse that is playing on loan at Brentford, 2 goals on his debut!

Dean Parrett went out on loan to Aldershot but I believe he is now back at the spuds.

Sorry and thanks for putting me right - just proves men can't multi-task as I'm actually trying to do some work at the same time and got my "starlets" in a twist :horror:

Mind you it is still a good point worth making as Bostock would clearly have a number of games under his belt by now if he'd stayed put.
