Lets Put These Rumours To Bed

Tarrabt here till end of the season. If we got promoted, would have strong chance of buying him

Buzsacky not going anywhere in January.

Routledge not going Newcastle or anywhere else.

Simpson on loan until end of the season.

Ramage has not handed transfer request.

Borrowdale was ill on Friday night and not dropped.

Wycombe W want a couple of players

Southampton want one of our players.

and Gavin Mahon is not as bad as everyone made out he is.

You're doing it again Pete - not everyone thought that.
He was booed by a fair few v Ipswich, but supported by plenty too that night. Always been a solid player, but needs to be played in the holding roll... he is now.

And surely nobody thought GB had been dropped? Obvious he had an injury, or was ill. Even when the teams were read out at Hillsborough.
At least that brings home to everyone how short we are in the full back positions, although I'm sure Magilton knew that anyway.

I assume Saints want Pat Agyemang.

Gavin Mahons never been that bad, never spectacular but he is a good leader and a decent passer of the ball would hate to lose him.

It looks like we will off load a few players in January HH back to Watford, Aggy has been linked to Southampton and it's no big secret that we have been stalking Ben Watson for around 18 months now so I'd expect him to make his move to W12 January.

I'd make a left back and an additional forward a priority.

Funky, I agree. A left back to compete with Borrowdale and a poacher up front.

A pivotal part of our season if we can get these two positions in

With Heguson's return to form, some recent impressive sub appearances from Agyemang and Vine and our new system of playing a front four with two holding midfielders, my question is: Is signing another striker really as much of a priority now as a LB? Our goal difference is one of the best in the league. RB doesnt seem as urgent to me with Legs and Ramage vying for that spot.

A good left back is a priority.
Whatever people think of GB (and it's mixed)... saturday showed that we need one.
Ramage stepped in to a totally alien position, and did ok. But that's just not ideal, and shouldn't have to happen.

As for a support striker/cover for Simpson - if we can get someone in who does what Agyemang does, but BETTER, then we should go for it.

If we can't really improve on what we have, then I agree there's no point.

Sell Agyemang if possible in Jan and bid for Simeon Jackson or Garry Hooper.

Also should sell Helgusson to Watford if possible.

Does anyone know who our full backs are when our reserves play? And are they any good?

Lee Brown is a promising young left-back who last I heard was out on loan At Salisbury along with Joe Oastler.
