If we're going for the big push in January to win promotion/playoffs, then Leon Best is not the calibre of player we should be keeping an eye on. No better than the non-scoring strikers we already have.

I thought it was 7 games and he was young.

He's improved and would be a quality addition. I've known about our interest for well over a month.

Let's hope you don't all #### him off right away, eh?

Typical of our fans to write a player off before he's show us what ge can do. End of the day, some players find their way a little later in life. Look at Luis Saha as a big example.

Jay Simpson couldn't score for toffee before he came here bytheway. A loan stink at Wall wasn't really a success for him. Best has hit 7 this season and looks to have discovered his goal scoring touch.

              yeah

but buying ayegemang and vine has got our hands burnt
better we should get lessons learnt
no good buying a player who only scores eight a season
if we dont go up thats the reason

Yeh, but he's not ours is he.

Instead we've got Pellicori, Vine, Helguson and Agyemang.

3 League goals all season, between the 4 of them.

                  I rest my case.

And Best now has 7, so he cannot be classed as a non-scoring striker. As said, some strikers don't find their feet right away. He's a big lad and useful on the ball. The goals are now coming so I back him to continue getting them.

He' not the worst striker in the world but he's not that great is he?!!!

To be honest I think the squad is crying out for a goal scoring centre forward and has been for many seasons now. Some people may argue that we've got simpson now so it's not that important but I disagree.

Let's make a statement and sign either Beckford, Hooper or Simeon Jackson. Either one of those 3 will score us 10-15 goals from January until the end of the season!
