he isnt that good, people will see the headlines and think wow he's scored again but in reality i watched their game on monday and he must of missed 2/3 guilt edged chances before he stuck his goal in. He wont get so many chances at this level and I wouldnt spend too much money on him.

        Magic I totally agree.
One of the most overrated players I can think of.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'd love Beckford to come to QPR...

Some on here dont seem to want him, His goalscoring record is great and you just can't knock it. Him and Simpson upfront, what a partnership!!

You can tell by the way leeds havent/dont want to sell him that he is a quality player

I'd like him here, but he is vastly over rated and I wouldnt be surprised if he flopped. Look at his goal record and its good (in league 1) but whenever i see him on the box he always misses a few great chances and my leeds mate (yes shameful I know) does not think he could make the step up.

I have to say , im with you james, the boy beckford would be a great signing imo.
yeah he's only scoring hatloads in lg 1. he is however only getting lg1 service.

There can be no promises he can step up of course , but i reckon with the boys he'd have behind an around him here, he'd score for fun in this div too.

i feel we have too much of a similar player in simpson. would rather a bigger player like hooper

Of course I'd love to see someone like Beckford at the club. But I think what we need at the moment is a striker that can bully defenders and has a pace about him, someone like Marlon King. But don't get me wrong I'd be over the moon if Beckford was to join us.

Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford is a surprise target for Portuguese side Benfica in the January transfer window. (Daily Star)

Hooper, like Simpson is 5'9" whilst Beckford is 6'2".

Beckford is 6'2" and very quick.OK he might miss a handful of chances every game, but he's always in a position to score and reads the game well.Thats why his scoring rate is so impressive. You don't mind him missing 2 or 3 a game providing he gets a goal every 2 games or as in the case of last season a goal a game (34 in 34) . He would be brilliant alongside Simpson with the service they would get from our midfield.
