No it won't. It will free up wages, however, which means less money spent per week, which all builds to avoiding another FFP thing.

off the top of my head, doherty, cox and now petrasso have all been discarded. next up, soon to be branden comely.

so, apart from buying or picking up other teams youth products, and giving them runouts in the u23, where are the young talent that dof and the pe teacher are supposed to be producing?
By the very nature of youth they will be below the u23s level at present I would assume.

All u23s would be “old” youth players or ones brought in from other clubs.

We’ll definitely revisit this in a year or two.

Washington has been given millions of chances and never performed and these two never been given enough chances. Shame.

Picking up discarded youngsters from the bigger London clubs should form a large part of the plan. Let them do the majority of the football education, and then see if we can take advantage. Pretty sure the likes of Brentford have been doing that for years now.

Probably. Both should have been out on loan...but maybe no-one wanted them.

Don't buy that at all mate. Contract terminated by mutual consent basically means they've been paid off. Probably saved us next to no money compared to paying them until the end of the season when their contracts expire.

Good luck to them both. Grego-Cox will find his level a bit further down the leagues. Shame Petrasso never cut the mustard, I suspect he'll go on to be a half decent player for someone.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

No point giving Tony or the club grief on this as far as I'm concerned. Both players have been close to the first team for 3 or 4 seasons now. Every manager we've had in that time has overlooked them. Can't be a coincidence.

What you gonna do? Keeping renewing their contracts and hoping that something will change?
