true its quite odd especially given how ollie said at the start of the season that he will be consistent with the shape we play in. i get that sometimes it won't always work out so sometimes you need to change it up and switch to a plan b for the last 30 minutes but not after the first 30 minutes lol. i don't get why manning started as lb when there is better options there in the team

Are there really no other players in the squad showing any form to force their way into the side?

He is good and will get better, but by not playing him we're lowering his confidence.

What type of signal does that show other up and coming players... "Don't go to QPR".

Yes and he kisses the badge and tells the crowd to sing up.

Hang on chaps, these comments such as "he is a young and upcoming talent that is good and improving" and "will show other up and coming players" seem to suggest he is a youngster with a huge future but no previous history. Come on, he is 27, has been in the game for 10 years and played more than 300 games. Again, I understand the desire to change the line up, but please don't distort the facts

What's happened is that we didn't appoint a development manager and most people knew that from the off. Olly is old skool, you dont win anything with kids etc etc etc etc.

Only problem is we don't win anything anyway.
This is why he was the wrong choice already from the beginning.

Same principle applies regardless of age.

Do well at a club get signed by QPR and get no chances to play is the message being sent out.

So many of us have clamoured for him to be given a chance, what did we think?
I thought he did ok! Perhaps hindered a bit going forward because of the defensive duties that come with playing wing back, but overall I thought he did well. Good in the air, certainly not afraid to run at defenders, and got stuck in where he could.
