QPR will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of our first fixture at Loftus Road when we host Ipswich Town in W12 this weekend.

Rangers’ opening game at the stadium took place on 8th September 1917 against West Ham United, and on Saturday, a whole host of QPR greats will be back to mark the anniversary.

haha and probably be in shock at the amount of somalis in the area too.

someone posted a pic on this forum of qpr fans from 100 years ago a few months back. would love to see it again as it was a brilliant photo of our clubs ancestors, i find it real weird to think of all the die hard fans that came and went generations ago.

During the First World War QPR also played their fixtures at Harvest Road, In 1917 Harvest Road was used as allotments, and QPR took over the ground of the amateur club Shepherd’s Bush who played at Loftus Road.
