    4-5-1

Playing 4-5-1 is our best hope for the incoming season. To win games you must stop your opponents to score fewer goals than you do. Atm, we are not in a position to add prolific goalscorers. So what is the point to play an attacking game with two strikers when we are so vulnerable at the back? My ideal formation will be:

    Smithies.
    Perch, Ned, Hall, Lynch/Bidwell.
    Pawel, Luongo, Borysiuk, Scowen, Freeman.
    Washington/Sylla.

If you cannot score enough goals, at least stop conceding!

It shows last season. You must have quality, high quality to attack, attack, attack.

You need not revert to JFH tactics. After all, Henry has gone now. The three at the centre are aggressive and can move forward very quickly. It is how Leicester was successful. We cannot afford to open up play as we concede quite easily. It's how we played against Reading away last season. And that was the best we played under Ollie. Counter attacking with intent.

Problem is we don't have the pace to do that.
Freeman, luongo, Manning, with the humanlampost up front.
I love the idea of it mate but we don't have the players.
Our best chance is attack the wings and lump it in the box for the lamppost to get his nut on it.

We do have. Borysiuk is one hell of a player and can change from defence to attack with some pinpoint passes. Luongo, Manning, Pawel and Scowen can move quickly. I believe we can do much better playing this way with the players we have. Afterall, we all know the results of last season and the way we played then.

nas suggested a 4231 and imo thatd be perfect for our team

luongo/manning/ariel/scowen in front of the defence then
yeni/freeman/pavel/conor or even grego-cox/eze in front of them and sylla or smith up front. if we played in that formation then we can focus on sorting out or defence as theres enough depth in the other positions apart from striker maybe
