According to Soccerbase, In 79/80 we beat Burnley 7-0, then Shrewsbury 2-1, and in 81/82 we Shrewsbury 2-1 (again) then Bolton 7-1.

I remember the Burnley game, I think it was on MOTD.

Ah I thought of that, but thought it was 4-3 at Everton, you're right though it was 5. Les got hat trick in both games I think.

i think back in 96 or 97 we beat spurs 4-1 on the saturday then beat leeds 4-1 on a tuesday night, just after the game on a sports programme i remember george graham tipping rangers for the title!!!! but can`t remember a 5 then a 4.

Can't remember us running up 9 goals in 2 consecutive games this season personally. We did score 9 goals in 2 consecutive home games, but that's a different question.
