    Rio Ferdinand

Just watching this program on him, about coping with his wife's death from cancer.
    Blimey.
Keep thinking to myself, all this was happening while he was playing for us, no wonder he wasn't at his best. Poor bloke. I wouldn't wish any of that on anyone.

Was a moving documentary, puts things into perspective.

Well done Rio you're doing a great job as dad to your kids

Not anyone who has posted on this thread but it just goes to show what a clueless bunch most football fans are. With his wife passing away when he joined us obviously he was never going to be at his best football wise. I thought he looked very good in his first game against Hull still.

Those saying he failed with us and was another useless Harry signing will need this TV programme to show footballers have real life's and things do affect them. I bet he would give all his money and medals back for just one more day with his wife.

Yes, he must of been heart broken losing the love of his life.

The claims came on the final day of footballer Rio Ferdinand's High Court privacy battle with the Sunday Mirror, over an article alleging he had an affair with an interior designer.

Its tragic for the woman, but if you are going to do a program like this, I personally I feel its relevant.

No, it's tragic for the family, which includes the husband, that the children are deprived of their mother and that is so much more relevant.

Regardless, if the mother of my child were going through the same thing I'd be deeply affected by it, and we haven't been together for 7 years nearly.
