He is apparently training with the team. I think it was Les who wanted to sign him (he's wanted to sign him for several years). Is it possible that Olly is unsure as to whether he will fit into the team especially given his lack of fitness. He was training with Wigan and I assume they came to this conclusion as they went no further as far as signing him are concerned.

I reckon it's to do with the fee. We probably want to pay like 500k and Lazio probably want couple million.

Wages could be a problem. He signed on a free for Lazio so his wages might be higher than expected. They probably don't want to be paying him after he leaves and we aren't eager to be offering big contracts.

If he comes he comes he's a descent player but certainly not what the majority of posters on here seem to think he is , Ollie has now got Freeman probably not as good as Ravel but if Ollie feels he can play hardball with Ravels handlers so be it

As much as id love him here i wouldnt want him here if his wage demands are even a penny more than our max weekly wage. Hes hardly lit the world on fire at lazio and should be looking at qpr as a dream move to kickstart his career, he'd be treated like a marquee player here and could easily get a move to a prem club in a couple of years from us. Hed actually be mad not to come here
