We do the same as almost every other window....enquire, bid, negotiate, procrastinate and then miss out on the player, then move on to the next target and repeat the process.Originally posted by Gtleighsr3 View PostAnother day gone another day nearer that fella with that yellow tie and squidly do dah happening

24 hours transfers isn't how it works in the game anymore, I suspect most simple bid, accept, sign transfers take close to a week. We have no idea how many players we have put bids in for or even enquired about to agents or clubs. How many deals were done within the first few days of the window opening, very few.
If you want everything done quickly then either vastly overpay on transfer fee, agents fee, signing on bonus and wages and we will get people in a few weeks earlier.
If you want things changed lobby for a transfer window of one week in Jan rather than close to five weeks.

Well thought out, reasonable replies - only cause trouble,
What you should be doing, is stomping your feet, throwing your toys out the pram and insisting that we pay far far too much for an average player in this transfer window.
Ward...Rotherham asking for Ģ2m...for a player out on contract this season. However, I'm pretty sure someone will take the plunge. Im sure he is a good player....
Anyway - back to the original poster ....wind it in ...sensible posts..do me a favour

How many clubs have done lots of business? Just because we haven't signed anyone dosent mean we're not going to, hence the title of this thread. It's hard to do business Outside of the last week as clubs want to ensure they are going to replace who they sell, just like the Lansbury deal to Villa which has dragged out. Unfortunately it seems as a fan base we are not happy unless we are approaching double figures in the transfer window.Originally posted by Norths View PostIts nothing to do with being spoilt. What a stupid thing to say. Its about wanting to see the club have its business done before the last week of the window.

When it comes to transfers and loans I wouldn't say we are feeding off scraps just yet but we are obviously not blazing in gung ho with our offers. It takes time and quite often requires the movement of players at other clubs before it frees up potential loans and transfers.Originally posted by Norths View PostIts nothing to do with being spoilt. Some fair points, but why not start with making bids fir players in December rather than waiting until January?Originally posted by Garyd73 View Post24 hours transfers isn't how it works in the game anymore, I suspect most simple bid, accept, sign transfers take close to a week. Isnt this what QPR did when Di Canio was manager.
The last few seasons have seen QPR sign players right at the end of the window and in many cases signed duds or paid over the odds SWP Ferdinand Young Zamora Cisse Granero Samba Keane Madiga etc.

Passing on twitter rumours like itīs the gospel, and make the club look bad? Our fans?Originally posted by RobertoQPR View PostWe really are the most impatient fan base. Like spoilt kids! Everyone's already pretty much agreed the team dosent need to change before the Fulham game. Let's just be patient. A couple of signings will be made
