Met Gerrard a number of times and is a really decent bloke and no ego at all. Very unusual considering the shite that have been playing the game in recent years.

Bakes, Agreed Gazza was brilliant 89-91 but never the same after. Scholes did it for 15 years and replaced Gazza in 98 when Hoddle dropped Gascoigne.

Why bring Luongo into this? He isn't good enough to be mentioned in the same breath as Alli.

Dele imo is the best midfielder in the prem and i can see him going to madrid next season for 80 million or something stupid. Proper quality player.

My favourite midfielder though was always lampard even though he's chelsea, guy could do it all and was good at everything except for playing alongside gerrard of course
