Briatore and co had a plan to take us up by hook or by crook. Right now we are rudderless and going nowhere fast. I wish we could have a team that was well run from the top and half decent on the pitch.

However their plan was to get us up and sell the club for as much as they could get. What sort of a plan is that? Good for them but not particularly good for the club.

They paid 2 million maximum and got 60-70 million. Mcmanus and Magnier did the same at Man Utd when they bought shares when the price was low and then sold to the Glazers. Also you forget Bernie bankrolled us the season we won the league so they were not all bad.

Nick, Whatever you say about the previous owners and whether you like them or not they put their hands in their pockets for players that were good value and they also had a plan to get promotion. Right now what is the current chairman and dof plan?

Oh the plan is promotion, dont get me wrong.... Just still think TF is trying to find a manager he can trust, then he'll put his hand in his pocket. The Hughes days are still give him nightmares..... the problem with TF for me is trying to find that happy medium- when to spend, when not to. When to get involved, when not to etc

The other thing that we need to remember is they saved us when we were nearly out of business so no problem with them selling on once they achieved what they set out to do. Good business and very shrewd as they found Fernandes very very quickly.

No one can rely on him to get that appointment right. Tony's 'football man' had no DoF experience and is obstructing a decent managerial appointment.

So the dof goes as many want on here. Who's going to chose the players because there is no way TF is going to allow the manager to make these decisions? I guess TF and the directors will do it.
