You'd have to say Maddix as that was his speciality and was renowned for it. He'd stick to his man like a rash the entire game.

I remember after much pestering my old dad taking me to Luton (late eighties I think). Parker was up against Mick Harford and outjumped him all day long - not a clue what the result was, just the enduring image of Parker winning header after header off Harford

Ian Dawes was a good little left back. I remember standing in the paddock instead of the loft for a change sometimes and loved watching him bomb down the wing. Amazingly he played just under 200 consecutive games for us. That takes some doing.

People talk about his arial abilities , he used to somehow hover in the air ,he`d jump up and seemed to stray up for a split second longer than the man he was marking, he was a brilliant little player
And when he was asked about the difference between us and Fulham ( who he also played for ) he said something along the lines of ,QPR are aproper club with proper support ,something Fulham with their plastic newby support just arn`t.

Danny was the better man marker ,Paul was the better all round defender , both quality though

Yeah Maddix was the man marker specialist, seen him man mark Lineker, Rush all out of the game.

Parker could do a job at centre half or sweeper which we played quite often.

For a little man he never let his size affect his game.

Loved him and Macca at the back together.

Played for us at right back but after moving to united he mainly played at centre half.

I would of had that the other way round.

Don't seem to remember him playing right back for us too often or centre half for United

United had Pallister and Bruce at Centre Half and Irwin and Parker were their full backs until Neville broke through.
