The only two managers in the last 16 years that have done well here and achieved anything (apart from our wembley play off with Redknapp) is Warnock and one Ian Holloway. And he did it in much worse circumstances and a much less budget than we have now. How do we know that Clement, Rowett and Sherwood said thanks but no thanks. Holloway is nowhere near the worst choice we could have made and actually has a half decent record in management with clubs smallish budgets. Give the bloke some respect and slack.

Why can't we move on without reemploying old favourites ,,, when will we ever learn !!!

Guys lets be open minded with this, Blackpool played decent football and Millwall played not so good football, Palace he had Zaha tearing up the league and with us he had Georges Santos. The moral of the story is he is no genius but not a dumpling either.

Good on the ball weren't they for a pretty average bunch of players, he took Charlie Adams when everybody told him to leave well alone and look at the player he turned out to be for them

What everyone is missing here is that time and tactics have moved on since the Blackpool days. He's only coming because he'll work with Les on relatively low pay and he ticks the sentiment box.

Those are not good reasons for giving him the job. This is another missed opportunity.
