I'd personally base the next manager on the brand of football we want to play, and the development of our youngsters - Clement sounds a little bit like JFH in playing style. Quite reserved, low risk football.

For QPR character, bums off seats expansive football at LR, development of youth etc. I'd appoint Sherwood or Robinson.

As a player Austin or Taraabt but overall Warnock as we would have been relegated in 2010 if he had not come in. And by targetting 1 man it changed the club completely and this is what should happen now. Target one man and get him.

Interviews work both ways though. No good targeting someone that doesn't want to come or won't work the way you want them to. If you end up moving on to someone else, then another and another, it takes ages and becomes pretty obvious to the latter candidates that they are way down on your wish list.

Equally, if someone knows that they are your first choice they can demand much better terms than they might normally get.

Not interviewing is probably against some law somewhere too.
