the words "gavin mahon to start" is unlikely to get them queing round the block in feverish anticipation, is it...?

I really hope its a midfield of Buzsaky, faurlin, liegertwood, and routledge...

Admittedly im not one of the biggest fans of Gavin Mahon, he's just too slow now imo...
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

think we need mahon in midfield. keep legs at right back.

Roll up, roll up, come and watch gavin mahon.... Gawd help up. Was going to take an Arsenal mate on Saturday, I can't now realistically.

I'd go buz and legs in the middle, routledge right, fraulin left, tarabt and simpson up front. simples.

                    Agree but i'd have

                    Taarabt Buz Legs Routledge

yep not too different - just think with vine firing blanks i'd rather give tarabt a go, however selfish. at least he might score a goal and that is what we are desperate for up front.

Well I don't think we really have much choice. Watson suspended? the best option is Faurlin & Mahon. I think leightrwood is doing a top job at the back, unless of course we move buzsaky in the middle.

Can't believe the amount of people that give Mahon and hard time! He's not the greatest player in the world but he does his job and puts the effort in! He's a defensive midfielder he offers very little going forward but that's the type of player he is you know that before you put him in the team, he's decent enough at the job he does!

Mahon is like Stevie Palmer in our last couple of seasons in league 1. Passing not his strength but he has commitment. The problem is that they both have no pace now and I think they’re playing a level too high. Mahon wouldn’t get in any other championship teams, I’m pretty certain about that.

Also, Preston are a top championship hardened side – we need to come up with something different than Mahon in the middle. Faurlin then one other….be it Legs (my choice) or Buz or even go for it with 4-3-3

absolutley has to be mahon for me tomorrow, the only leader left in the squad, and tomorrow we are playing preston, with the biggest forward pairing in the league, its all going to be about winning second phase possesion (that is something mahon is good at) and needing extra height in the full back positions (ie keeping Legs where he is). He may not be spectacular but he will be steady and it will give Faurlin a little bit more space.
