Getting regular goals from midfield in recent years as been a bit of a struggle. Think we could all agree there are high hopes for Chery in this department and i expect at a minimum double figures from him. Was just trying to think about the best goal scoring midfielders in the championship and i started to struggle after a couple.

Chery and Forestieri are only omes I can.think of. Hoolahan I expect to get 10+ in championship, same with Shelvey if he gets games. What does Naismith count as?

Right so you've got Wes Hoolahan as a proper midfield goalscorer, Grant Ward from Ipswich as well as Daryl Murphy, Aaron Mooy looks to be a good option, Floyd Ayite generally gets over 5 goals a season. Danny Ward at Rotherham, David Cotterill likes scoring free kicks, same for Peter Whittingham, Matt Ritchie, Daniel Johnson, Conor Hourihane, and kemar roofe obviously, if he can make the jump... there are a few other newbies I'm missing out for sure.

Tom Ince
Matt Richie
Henri Lansbury
Alex Pritchard (well £8m should buy you goals)

really when i look at it, there arnt too many around in this league. If Yeni can come in and hit the ground running, it gives us a boost over most teams.
