    Bodvarsson scores on debut

    Scored on debut

Not going to start saying "why didn't we sign him".

Taking the positivity out of it and say maybe our scouting system is on the right track.

Be a shame if he ends up v.good after we got so close but fark him now.

3 points today Rangers come on!!!!

To be fair with no emotions attached to either team I would of probably chose wolves to?

      Wouldn't you?

More money, cheaper living costs and a owner that's apparently spending 20m on that talisca from benfica.

With you said such in another thread

Decent goal from him in top corner but think keeper should have kept that out

Good point OP about scouting system being on the right track. He had a choice and for whatever reason chose them. We just have to move on and hope our other new signings have a similar impact

              Have I missed something here?

Wolves offered more money than us. Nothing to do with the player demanding more of being the "wrong sort". More a case of Wolves being prepared to pay an asking price that we were unable or unwilling to match!

I'd like to think it was more unwilling than unable. Also we pulled out of the negotiations, I assume because he was maybe not our first choice.

Finally after so many years of mismanagement we have a professional team in charge of transfers. I suspect we decided what we thought he was worth and refused to pay any more...unlike in the Hughes and Redknapp era when we consistently got mugged....a fool and his money.
