Hasselbaink Article - Mackie, Borysiuk & Robinson Updates

Just read this article in GetWestLondon.

The Rangers chief has been giving his first pre-match press conference of the new campaign as the Hoops prepare to host his old club on Sunday

So it turns out that Jack Robinson has Shin Splints. Not nice that, I used to suffer from them as a kid. Probably a knock on effect of his legs getting weak in the year he wasn't training. Only real solution for that is to rest up & let them recover. It's definitely an injury that can (and probably will linger). Good job we have Bidwell fit and good to go at Left Back.

Bit disappointed by Jimmy banging on about what a huge loss Jamie Mackie is. The guy has barely been fit since we signed him and in the eyes of pretty much every fan, is a squad player. If we are pinning our hopes on him up top then we are in big trouble.

The article also confirms what we all knew about Ariel Borysiuk. A few weeks away from selection.

I don't think it's gonna be pretty on Sunday. 2 banks of 4 and route one up to Polter is my prediction!

He can hardly say, "Mackie is out but that's a bit like leaving your winter coat at home while you jet off for a beach holiday"

True, but it's bullsh*tting the fans a bit to suggest it's some major loss to the first team. In reality he's clutching at straws a bit cos we've been priced out of the market on every striker or winger we've tried to sign all summer!

I can only remember one recent manager who public slagged his players off, dim Tim.

I don't take what managers say in press conferences too seriously. He's obviously going to say what he said about mackie because that's what managers say, it also covers his arris by making out a "key" player is missing in case we play poorly, among other things
