Agree in part but those we certainly different days and football has moved on (with a much greater reliance on pace)

Not wishing to pi$$ on your parade as I get what you're saying, but 1) Molby was a Central Midfielder. 2) Robertson was absolutely electric over 5 yards and 3) Barnes had skill and pace (especially when younger), so not sure what you're saying there.

I remember Pilington at Norwich and IMO was bang average. Not sure he's any different to a player we already have at the club (Ben Gladwin). How about we look to improve that guy instead of wasting more millions.

I did state Molby was a m/F , but neither Barnes or Robertson were over gifted with pace not meaning they were slow , I don't know Anything about pilkington so don't worry your not plssing over anything !

For sure but how many brainless players fly down the wing and then cross to no one if they can cross without putting the ball over for a goal kick , pace is an asset but not much without skill to match or having a brain , we've got a central defender with pace but no brain Caulker not hardly a roaring success is he

I actually feel both are necessary to be a success these days.

Yep but at our level can we afford the players that have both

Just done abit of research on him looks like he has a dodgy knee that needs to be managed. And as others have said lacks pace. As it stands I'd have him if we can't get any of our targets in but he would be last choice.

Been on their forums also and most of them are unhappy he's going

Think he's top scorer ....he sounds good maybe if not too quick as long as he scores goals why the need to run around ?

Just score son ...that will do running around will just make you thirsty like George Best

Don't care how good on the ball/pacey he is, if he sticks the ball in the back of the net pretty regularly, that's good enough for me.

He would be a good signing if not to expensive,I saw him a few times when he was at norwich n was impressed. We will need to inject pace thru centre mid & other wing tho as lack of pace to break forward was a lot of our downfall last season.

For a million or two, I think its a great deal for a proben championship player who we can get a good few years from, he can score and assist in a position we desperately need.

He reminds me a bit about Connor Wickham.
