Because a club is really only succeeding if it gets promoted and stays in the premiership.

I agree! Our recent forays in to the Premier League haven't been much fun, it's nice to know we have a chance to win every week! The biggest thing I miss of us playing in the EPL is the live broadcast of our matches week in and week out although as I mentioned, not many turned out well!

i love the championship because we can compete , i'd like a couple of years to build a team that can challenge for promotion and then stay up. losing every week in the PL just becomes tiring

It is tricky, I do think Burnley had a great cohesive squad already and then brought in Barton and Gray to improve their team further. Our team was nowhere near the level of either of those clubs. Can I also say I love cold Tuesday night games.

QPR could have bought Gray and one or 2 others with proven ability at this level if they had taken the money on offer for Austin and perhaps Phillips. They got £9M for Sterling and a 1m loan fee for Caulker.
QPR could also have kept Barton.
The truth is they Farked it up by appointing Ramsey ibstead of Warburton.
