It was always going to be about Rooney. We played so well v Germany without him, that second half was spectacular. I said then watch Rooney come back and spoil it. Roy hasn't got the minerals to drop him. Shame. Still, let's see what happens.

Agree with others,so obvious rooneys holding us back,all he seems to do is slow things down & pass back,how he can be chosen over ali in that roles unreal! very frustrating to watch & lothar matthias came out with i hope roy doesnt go and bring back rooney! that team against germany should be our starting team from now on,quite a obvious one that is

In my view we have a very good England squad. I won't judge Roy until after the tournament but he should be vilified if we don't do well. Don't care what formation or players he chooses but we have to progress to quarters at least
