    Yun impresses at Charlton

I know this is an old article, but I really don't understand why he wasn't given a chance to play for us.

True but it is odd, especially when you remember how much Gary Neville rated Yun in the Premier League

It's probably the case that JFH just doesn't rate Yun. I like Yun, but if Jimmy can get us a better LB in the summer, he'll soon be forgotten about.

Agreed on this for sure, I think something about this is that he'd need to renew his contract and for that to happen, he'd need a new work permit. Given that he hasn't made a single appearance for South Korea in the last year, we won't be able to get a work permit without special case application on the basis that he will bring something valuable to the English sport (or something along those lines) and he's unlikely to qualify for that. Therefore, given that there's no chance of him playing for us next season, we probably just wanted rid asap to give someone else a go.

My only issue with this is why play Konch at any point knowing we want to bed someone in for next season?

Really hope the club isnt looking to renew his contract. What would be the point? He's been under contract for over three years now and barely featured.

Same will apply to Konch, as he's only on loan.
                No chance we'll sign him.

Could have done even better with him in the side.

I thought he was ok for us, one poor game at Palace but then so did everyone that day pretty much.

Willing to get forward sometimes but not the greatest going forward and that may be one of the problems of why he may not be fancied now.

If you watch or read the latest Fans' Forum, JFH explains the reason clearly: although he rates Yun, it is, as Nasser has said, quite likely that he will not get a work permit next season. If he doesn't get a work permit, he can't play for us, therefore it's pointless to include him in the first team since we are building the team for the future. The best solution is to loan him out, saving the club money and giving him a chance to stay match fit. If, in the unlikely event he is granted a permit extension, the club can then renegotiate with him if it chooses.

True about Yun and JET - If not in the plan, then no point in them being around.

I just hope Doughty is in his plans!!
