All gone quiet! Let's hope we can get his wage bill of the books today/tomorrow. Hope Villa or Bournemouth come in for him as previously rumoured

I doubt he will play for us again, read somewhere he had written in his contract he would get an extension if he played 30 gams this season,
I think he has played 25.

      Might be wrong tho.

You are correct. There is also no need for him to play again. Smithies is better as is Lumley and I would imagine Ingram so.he is fourth best for me.

Yes they were speaking about it on the Channel 5 Championship last week and said the automatic extension is common in football these days. If he doesn't leave tomorrow he will only play in an emergency, which is unlikely with 3 other keepers at the club. I have enjoyed watching Green these last 4 years but it is time for him to step aside, too many unforced errors in last 12 months.

            Good!!

Thanks for your efforts now goodbye. Whether that be released on a free or sold or in the reserves, I don't want to see him turn out for QPR again. An average keeper past his sell by date on way more money than he deserves.

We have our number one who's doing brilliantly. We move on. Without Green.

I expect people have actually bothered to watch his performances and realised he isnt very good anymore. He did say he wants to play till 45, if so it would have to be lower leagues as he isnt very good anymore.

Green isn't going to play for us again so I'd offer any potential suitors that we'd pay half his wages
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

                      Lumley better than green ?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I can only go by the games I have seen them play in and the two Lumley played in, whilst he made an error for the goal let in vs Blackburn so did Green against Hull, against Brighton, against Leeds, and plenty of other teams. Lumley certainly isn't worse than Green. Plus he is younger so that would put him in front of Green for me even if currently would be even in goal.

Think he's been a decent servant of the club during a mental period. I certainly think he had the mucky end of the stick having to play behind the inept and leaky bunch of players we've generally fielded.
All in all its a bit of an inglorious end to his time with us and this contract/pay/extension stuff is just embarrassing and tawdry - makes us look a bit mickey mouse I reckon.

He was fantastic last year and even kept Cesar out although more to that than just goalkeeping. I completely agree we do look bad with this contract extension stuff but sadly he doesn't deserve a new one.

Be glad to see him go and was very fortunate to be paid what he was by us. No better on the field than the man he replaced! That view is based on performances on the field rather than off it.
