Don't know why so many people kept bringing up changing the crest. I think the badge we had was alright. New one ain't too bad either.

But the powers that be have to keep up the appearances of things happening at the club, the good vibe and all that. No hope for anything on the pitch and no hope for a new pitch despite all the BS PR, so something has to be thrown to the naive natives to prevent murmurs of discontent. Enter the new crest.

Ever since Tony Fernandes took over he has been asked about changing the crest. Don't think that the powers that be that have been orchestrating that in order to look like they're doing something.

We wanted a change ,and weve got a change ,i personally wanted no 1 ,but i`m old enough to have been around for the 70s shield , no 2 was my second choice ,and although its not ideal ,i`lll start buying official club merchandise with this new badge on .
