It's amazing how quickly people forget the good performances he had. Playoff final for one. Played about 25mins with a dislocated thumb and performed brilliantly.

I worked a night shift with a broken arm. Does that make me a hero?

I'm not sure it's purely about performance ginge, think it's more that he was played over goalkeepers brought into the club to be the future (McCarthy and more recently Smithies) because of higher wages and past reputation. This meant we lost Mccarthy and probably would have been the same with Smithies until the recent change of direction.

played wonderfully yesterday. handled some situations that I'm sure Green wouldve had his usual 1-a-game wobble if in goal. hopefully long may it continue.

Sorry to state the obvious but that's kind of his job. The amount of mistakes he makes for a keeper on the money he's on is absolutely criminal. He can't even kick a ball straight, that's embarrassing.

At the end of the day Green never bad mouthed or was disrespectful to the club and we should be the the same.
What I did like about Smithies his distribution was quicker.

yup, and just to be clear. i never said a word about green personally or his stuff off the pitch. in fact, he's always come across as a rather educated well spoken footballer. saw him on clare baldings show as well.

just think he had a brilliant year last year and the one before with all the clean sheets, but from a results standpoint, he should step aside now. get paid to sit the bench as he is entitled to. but the fella is past it, sadly.

Fair play to Smithies, was a faultless performance. Rotherham are one of the worst teams in this division without question, so he will have far more to do against better oppo.

Hope he takes his chance, happy to give him a run of games to see what hes all about.
