One of the things I liked about Rogers, even when he was struggling at Liverpool, was they had a very distinctive style. Most teams you can say generally play a certain way but very few are individual.

Would be very happy if we appointed him but to say in my view unlikely to happen.

Im sure Rodgers will stay in Spain and work in La Liga , speaks perfect Spanish lives out there most of the time, ideal fit for a coaching role out there, really cant see him at Rangers, can you imagine him trying to get our back four to want the ball under pressure and yo play out from the back?

I personally wouldn't mind giving him a go. Bringing in a manager from the Scottish league worked for Norwich and, as you say, Stubbs has a good record with Hibs.

Look at it this way. He spent an awful lot of money at Liverpool, and for all their attacking prowess ended up with a side that couldn't defend. That cost them the title and this problem was not resolved last term. Not sure if a really top club would take the risk.

However, he was very successful at this level with Swansea and assuming everyone at R s is singing from the same hymn sheet - a big if - he might think that this is a reasonable chance to get back to the prem. I'd treat the price with a lot of caution - can't find any real substance behind the rumour, and if it was inside info he'd be shorter in the market.
