Saw a post on LFW and it reminded me of something

In the dying seconds of extra time on Saturday we won a free kick in Hulls half but rather then knock it straight in the penalty area and have a small glimmer of nicking the three points we played it down to the corner flag instead to settle for a point

The free kick was near enough the last kick of the game but surely we should have just gone for it even though deep down I am happy with the point we got up there and it looked as though both teams were resigned to the scoreline from about the 70 minute mark

Beat to to that. When we done that v Liverpool we all slated them for it when we got caught out, so personally, no qualms with playing it safe to ensure a hard earned point in a tough fixture.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

The Japan rugby team went for the win against SA and got it, they took a gamble and went for the try instead of taking the penalty.
To be a winner in life you need to take risks.

would lose more points than gained by taking unnecessary risks. what the japan rugby team has to do with the QPR football team, i dont know.

You wouldn't have complained if we'd gone for it and they went up the other end and scored then? It's a risk after all.

But we've seen taking it to the corner flag and losing the ball which also cost us a goal.

I'm not complaining about the result, a point at Hull is good. All I am saying is that sometimes risks need to be taken to take things forward. My analogy is about life in general more so than about QPR.

Exactly this... it's the difference between a winning attitude and a be happy with what we have attitude.

If our aim (commendable) is merely to avoid another relegation.

                              Fortune favours the brave.

Saying that, decent point away at Hell.
