...Saw he was released by wet spam and I do wonder if our board will see this as good business.

He might fit in with tried and tested up for the challenge and had done it before in the championship - plus on a free.

I'm mixed with the idea of cole because as a target man in the championship he will give defenders nightmares but I don't just something about him I just don't take to.

I'd prefer bent over him all day tbh.

He's not prolific but he will do a job in the Championship. Big brutish target man, if wages are decent and on a free then why not?

A few years ago it would have been 100% yes, now not to sure, as a squad player, maybe? not as a main striker!
            Kept the faith!

                Yes
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

I'd say our recurrent footprints have actually created this road.

Only one news story mooting this one... I dearly hope they are wrong.

Huge backwards step and exactly the kind of player this recruitment drive seems to be avoiding.

Can only really ever see this happen IF we get slapped with a transfer embargo.

We been linked him since Flavio/Bernie days. No thanks, could do the job in Championship, but there must be a better and even a cheaper options for us

Agreed, but would also consider Bent on reasonable wages.
However, QPR should be sounding out 1 or 2 younger strikers as they dont seem to have any in the youth set up. i am not yet convinced with Greco-Cox.

For me I would only sign him come TX deadline day if we are short of a striker and struggling to get someone in of that style. Then would do 1year deal heavily based on incentives for goals etc

in answer to the OP, maybe. Would rather have Lambert though.
