A New Striker - A Name Not Previously Mentioned (Cheap - ish...)

I remember getting hold of this girl one night a few years back at School Disco at the Palais a few years back in Hammersmith. She was abolsutely stunning and she said her brother was Lee Barnard who was then a YTS lad at Spuds. Could have been b o llocks but it's not the sort of thing you'd make up. If she was telling the truth, then wow!

Seems to be scoring a few in League 1.

He loves an offside or 6 per game though.hes strong though ,can hold up well,got a bit of pace about him and scores with head and feet.just not convinced hed do well in the ccc.i shall keep an eye on him for the rest of the season and will see him nxt fri v soton.

Queen's Park Rangers shouldn't be shopping in the bargain basement. The club has fabulously wealthy owners and should be moving heaven and earth to get in the best players it possibly can.

Options for a striker signing:

1) Sign a top international player from the premier league or abroad.On big wages.Because we have wealthy investors it is nailed on that we must sign a big big name striker.

2) Sign one of the many CCC much travelled journeyman....Adebola - Akinbiyi-Harewood etc etc....

3) Get a Premiership youngster on loan with view to buy after good loan period

4) Take chance on lower league player.Gamble yes - going back to Keegan days - only now we must have instant success and if they dont score 10 goals in first game - they are sh..t.

To add to point 4 - once striker has been located - if you are going to gamble - gamble early- before rest of clubs notice he is any good.
