Never rated him and pleased as punch we let him go. I'm actually struggling to remember the last solid and consistent specialist right back we had..... Seem to have had a succession of error prone duffers with no positional sense or discipline or worse still, big lump centre backs filling in.

He was perfectly fine for us, very solid hardly ever let us down.

That said, not sure I would want him back now. Hearing all that's gone on in his persnoal life sheds some light on what sort of character he is (tbf I think Robson called it a while back that he thought he was a wrong un?).

Thats the way I saw it, we missed him bad when he was injured & that Fulham player was there. He was Mr Consistent 7/10 all season. IMO . Was surprised we got rid , but it probably wasn't footballing reasons.

Good deal I'd say for the club at the right time, good player but to get him on a free and sell him for a couple mil one year later is solid from us.
